Big Dreams – Artworks from the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation Collection
The exhibition Big Dreams, curated from the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation Collection, encourages visitors to dream. It is part of the ongoing ArtHop project at the Rovaniemi Art Museum, aimed at young people aged 15–29. The project's goal is to promote active engagement in one's own life and strengthen participation. Young people from Rovaniemi participating in the project have selected the key works for the exhibition.
The artworks explore a wide range of dreams and the emotions they evoke. Many people dream of studies, travel, starting a family, or summer. In the exhibition halls, big dreams and small wishes are treated equally.
Sometimes dreams can also be frightening. Pursuing them may require significant changes. Dreams that feel overwhelmingly out of reach can be discouraging, and if they remain unfulfilled, they may lead to disappointment. Nevertheless, we continue to dream.
